About

I am a 23 years old guy who got involved in science as a hobby. As I grew up I got intrigued by the brain. By high school I had decided to turn this hobby of studying the brain into a career. So it naturally led me to try and do a Ph.D. in neuroscience. For the part two years I haveĀ  worked as a project assistant in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research on neuronal glucosensing using zebrafish as a model system. This experience has reaffirmed my career decision. Currently I am going to join the Friedrich Meicher Institute for Biomedical Research for a Ph.D.

On a personal front, I love exploring - life, food, places, music and people. sometimes i hit the gold and sometimes the goo. But that makes it fun. My humor is quirky and sometimes very offensive. But then again I believe in the phrase - shit happens. I love trivia and the Doors. Have an interest in snakes and all creatures in general. I have only one long time goal. To open a beach shack / hotel on a beach in goa. It will serve seafood which I'll cook or personally supervise. And the place will be a tribute to Jim Morrison. Thats about it. I'm your average bum. Forgot to mention i am kinda fat.
